Admissions

Most children live within the reserved area, which is the northern part of the Lakes Estate, including Stoke Road south from Plough Corner and the southern boundary being a line from Stoke Road through the Warren playground, Sir Herbert Leon School and Drayton Road.  However, we welcome children from outside this area providing there are spaces within the year group.

Parents should contact Milton Keynes council in order to find out about our admission arrangements. Further details of the admission procedures are also available in the Milton Keynes Information booklet.

If you are interested in what we do, please come and see us as the best way to judge a school is to see us in action.  We always welcome visits from parents and children.

Please make sure your child is registered with us before they are due to start.

A part time place is offered to children at the beginning of the academic year in which they become 4 i.e the September after their third birthday.  Additionally we take 3 year olds in January if their birthdays fall between September and December the previous year. A full time place is offered at the beginning of the academic year in which they become 5 years old.  Admissions for full-time education is coordinated by Milton Keynes Council. At the beginning of the September term after your child is 5 years old they will move into a Year 1 class.

Classes are organised according to the number of children on roll and sometimes each class may include children from two-year groups.  From September 2015 we will have one nursery class, two Foundation 2 classes, two Year 1 classes, two Year 2 classes, two Year 3 classes, two Year 4 classes, two Year 5 classes and two Year 6 classes. Your child will move on to secondary education the September after they are 11.  The local comprehensive school is Sir Herbert Leon Secondary School.

This scheme welcomes the children into the school for a few sessions in the term before they are due to start school. Nursery staff and a Learning Mentor visit parents and children at home to meet with you and chat through any queries you may have about your child starting school.
