Reported by Lewis Cattigan & Zain Mohammed-
"On Wednesday 16th June, 9 year 6 pupils were selected to participate in a cricket tournament at Bletchley Rugby Club. Lead by Zain, the team consisted of 8 other pupils: Lewis, Daniel, Jordan, Samuel, Faridah, Hamidah, Fatima and Rohan. It was a hot day, so the group found it difficult. They were quite excited for the event and had lots of fun. Their first game was a test to see how the team was. Unfortunately, they lost the match but, like I said, it was just a test. They were improving the more games they played. The second game was also a loss; however, their third was a win. The team was happy, and smiles filed the air. It was a great achievement for the team. They did not have much experience with cricket. Each game lasted 40 minutes and the team played great in all 4. Mr Lands said that the players were ‘Legends.’ It was a great day out and everyone had lots of fun. Mr Lands is a proud Teacher!

Welcome back after the Lockdown!
It’s so lovely to see everyone again, the children and the parents. The children have settled in well to their PE lessons and they have said they have missed PE at school with Mr Lands and Miss Stubbs.
The PE Department would like to say a big Well Done for all your efforts to keep active and healthy at home during these difficult times. Here are some pictures which were sent in to show the total of steps completed, the distance travelled on their daily exercise or generally a daily screenshot of how active they have been.
This term at Drayton Park the children have enjoyed taking part in Multi- Skilled Activities and Team Games.
Congratulations to the winning classes who have brought the correct PE Kit and have won the PE Cup!
Physical Activity is important to improve health, reduce stress and improve concentration, therefore due to the changes of a 'Normal' lifestyle Mr Lands and Miss Stubbs are delivering fun, energetic and positive influences within PE Lessons. Exercise in PE lessons, lunchtimes and clubs hopes to support academic achievement, emotional stability and interaction with others safely.
Next half term, PE lessons will include Dance and Gymnastics Skill based activities. The Phoenix class will also continue to swim on a Friday afternoon.
If the children of Drayton Park have started participating in Sporting Clubs or Events outside school please share your achievements. This can be a picture sent through Class Dojo to be put onto our Hall Of Fame!
